About Our Presenters:

Sean Gardner

Sean Gardner stumbled into the occupational therapy profession from a rehabilitation aide background and has loved it ever since.  He is a graduate of the Nova Southeastern University Inaugural OT Class of 1997.  Sean currently serves as a Manager of OT Services for the New York City Department of Education. He has a strong passion for promoting diversity in the profession and demonstrates it by being a vocal activist for the cause. Sean is a member of the NYSBOTC and one of 9 founding members of (BROTHAS).  It is a platform to encourage conversation, offer support, provide mentor/mentee relationships for our black male OT practitioners and students.

Sascha Rogers

Sascha Rogers is the Owner and Director of Metropolitan Pediatric Therapy, LLC. She graduated from the University of Puget Sound in 2007 with a Master’s of Science in Occupational Therapy. She founded Metropolitan Pediatric Therapy, LLC. in Woodbridge, VA, in the summer of 2012, realizing her dream of bringing premium occupational therapy to local families in a supportive and nurturing environment. Sascha is licensed in the District of Columbia, Florida, Maryland, and Virginia.

She has worked in various occupational therapy settings, including acute care hospitals, private practices, early intervention in the natural environment, prescribed pediatric extended care facilities (PPEC), schools, outpatient therapy centers, and teletherapy. Sascha is an active member of the American Occupational Therapy Association and the Florida Occupational Therapy Association. Sascha is passionate about providing education and resources for the families and communities she serves. Her clinical specialties include: Sensory Integration therapy (SIPT certified), Early Intervention (certified through Georgetown University), Therapeutic Listening certified, Pediatric Kinesiology Taping certified, and SOS Approach to Feeding trained with advanced coursework with “Picky Eaters vs. Problem Feeders,” infants/children with GERD, and with Autism Spectrum Disorder. When she is not working with children and families, Sascha is a foodie, loves traveling to new countries, and cuddling pups.
